Document workflow
Leave 1C without stopping the business
Invoices, acts and delivery notes move into your own system. Documents generate themselves from data you already have, the data stays yours, and the licences stop.
This already runs — here is what that looks like
A sales and document system I run. 6 people use it daily. Figures read from the production database on 14.09.2026, not from a deck.
How the move happens
Four stages. None of them begins by switching off the thing that works.
1. Find what is actually used
Every 1C install has hundreds of features and about ten that anyone actually touches. The first week goes on watching the real workflows: which documents get printed, which reports get read, what is exported to the bank. That is what gets moved — not the feature list.
2. Get the data out
Reference books, counterparties, stock items, document history. This is the dullest part and the only one where a mistake is expensive: lose the link between a document and a counterparty and it cannot be restored later.
3. Make the documents generate themselves
Invoice, act, delivery note with the right details, numbering and signature — built from data already in the system. Not a template someone fills in by hand, but a document that appears alongside the order.
4. Leave a bridge while it still feels risky
For the first months the new system and 1C run side by side and the data is reconciled. You switch the old one off when you have stopped opening it yourself — not when a contractor says it is done.
What changes afterwards
- —A document appears alongside the order, rather than after someone remembers to make it.
- —The data sits in your own database, so any report is possible — not only the ones someone anticipated.
- —A new requirement takes days, instead of «the configuration does not allow that».
- —No annual licences, and no single contractor without whom nothing moves.
Where to start
Tell me how many documents you issue a month and what hurts most in 1C right now. That is enough for me to say what it will cost and how long it will take — or to say honestly that you are better off staying.

Replacing 1C: what to migrate first
The order of migration away from 1C: where to start, what can stay for years, how to avoid stopping the business mid-transition, and where data goes missing.
Automating invoices, contracts and delivery notes
Why salespeople lose hours to paperwork and what to automate first. A worked example: 196 documents generated by the system with no manual typing.
Custom system or an off-the-shelf box: an honest comparison
When a boxed product wins, when custom wins, and the third option: a working system adapted to your process. Lock-in, code ownership, support, migration risk.
